Bohemia Sekt’s story began in 1942 in Starý Plzenec, where historic cellars set the stage for a new chapter in Czech winemaking. Today, the house carries this heritage across a diverse collection of sparkling wines. Its mastery of both the traditional and Charmat methods gives each range its own character, from bright, joyful expressions to refined cuvées of remarkable depth and finesse.

Moravia gives Bohemia Sekt its distinctive foundation. Across the historic heart of Czech viticulture, diverse soils and favourable growing conditions produce grapes with freshness, aromatic purity and vibrant acidity. Riesling, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay each bring their own character, shaping cuvées defined by balance, finesse and a clear sense of origin.

More than 80 years of cellar expertise shape every Bohemia Sekt cuvée. The Charmat process preserves freshness and aromatic vibrancy, while traditional-method wines, including the Prestige range and speciality cuvées, gain texture and complexity through bottle fermentation and lees ageing. This dual expertise allows the house to create sparkling wines with distinct personalities, united by precision and balance.

Josef Švéda, Head Cellar Master at Bohemia Sekt, brings more than three decades of sparkling wine expertise to the house. His precise approach and deep understanding of traditional-method winemaking shape the character of the Prestige collection, bringing balance, finesse and consistency to every cuvée.

Bohemia Sekt offers a sparkling wine for every style of celebration. Classic Brut and Demi Sec bring freshness and approachable charm, while the Prestige range reveals the added finesse and complexity of bottle fermentation across Chardonnay, rosé and other expressions. Cuvées such as Louis Girardot and Château Radyně showcase the house’s heritage and craftsmanship, while ICE offers a playful style created to be enjoyed over ice.
